Tactical and Uniform officers at the Airport Division arrested and charged a 40 year-old male after a flight from Poland. 

On Monday, November 11, 2013, at approximately 5:00 p.m., a male on a flight from Poland to Toronto had become heavily intoxicated and was cut off from the service of alcohol during the flight. The male became irate and began to cause a disturbance. He approached the crew’s cabin and pounded on the doors. Two flight attendants attempted to diffuse the situation, unsuccessfully. The situation escalated to the point where the two flight attendants were assaulted. Two off-duty Halton police officers intervened at this point and restrained the male until the plane landed at Pearson International Airport. Tactical officers boarded the plane and arrested the male without incident. 

Henryk Glowala, 40 years-old of St. Catharines, was arrested and charged with the following:

– Assault;

– Assault with a Weapon X2; and

– Endangering the Safety of an Aircraft
