Winnipeg man Perry Thomas Babb and a woman charged with possession of drugs for trafficking purpose

Members of the Winnipeg Police Service Street Crime Unit recently became involved in a drug investigation regarding the trafficking of cocaine.  As a result of the investigation a Controlled Drug & Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant was obtained for a residence in the 300 block of Gertrude Street.

On November 23, 2013 shortly after 6:00 p.m. with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team the warrant was executed.  Two adults were arrested for their alleged involvement.

A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of approximately $80,000.00 worth of drugs including, cocaine, marihuana and ecstasy along with over $50,000.00 in Canadian currency.

Perry Thomas Babb 27 years of Winnipeg has been charged with Possessing substance for purposes of trafficking – COCAINE, Possessing substance for purposes of trafficking – CANNABIS (MARIHUANA), Possessing substance for purposes of trafficking – ECSTASY & Possession of Proceeds  of Property Obtained by Crime.

He was detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.

A 21 year old female from East St Paul, MB is facing charges of Possessing substance for purposes of trafficking – COCAINE, Possessing substance for purposes of trafficking – CANNABIS (MARIHUANA), Possessing substance for purposes of trafficking – ECSTASY & Possession of Proceeds  of Property Obtained by Crime.

She was released via a Promise to Appear.
