Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 11500 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 8:20 a.m. today (December 6).
The male victim, 72, was transported to Houston Northwest Medical Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer T. Hines reported:
The victim was driving a beige Mercury Milano on the North Freeway service road when the vehicle veered off the roadway and struck a tree. According to witnesses, the vehicle was seen swerving on the road prior to the accident.
It is believed the victim suffered a medical incident which may have caused the accident.
