Two Mississauga men Patrick Brown & Bernard Addo charged with drugs related offences

Officers from 21 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau have arrested two people for drug related offences. 

On December 12, 2013, the officers investigated a male at a shopping plaza on Goreway Drive in Mississauga. This male refused to identify himself and then fled on foot. Officers gave chase and apprehended the male a short distance later. A second male attempted to intervene and assaulted the officer who was making the arrest. The second male then fled on foot. Another foot chase took place and the second male was also arrested. 

As a result of this incident, the following charges were laid; 

Patrick Brown, male, 32, from Mississauga was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession for the Purpose, Obstruct/Resist Peace Officer, Assault with intent to Resist Arrest, and Fail to Comply with the Conditions of an Undertaking. 

Bernard Addo, male, 27, from Mississauga was charged with Obstruct/Resist Peace Officer, Assault with the Intent to Resist Arrest, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession for the Purpose. 

Both Brown and Addo were held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on December 13, 2013.
