Edmonton Police Service Sexual Assault Section detectives have charged a man in connection with sexual assaults that occurred between January 2008 and August 2013.

At the time of these offences the accused was released and out in the community while awaiting trial on a second unrelated charge of sexual assault, set to start in March 2014.

James Melvin Pambrun, 63, is facing one new global charge of sexual assault (Sec. 271 of the Criminal Code).

The EPS is releasing a photo of the accused because detectives believe there may be more complainants who haven’t come forward.  Pambrun is known to use other names to aid in hiding his identity.

Pambrun targeted women because of their specific vulnerabilities and has a history of sexual assault dating back to 1983.
