Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 9900 East F. M. 1960 about 2:55 p.m. on Tuesday (Jan. 7).
The female victim, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Kung and Senior Police Officer J. Ortiz reported:
The victim was driving a black Chevrolet Impala westbound on F. M. 1960 and made an improper U-turn. The Impala was then struck by a black GMC Yukon XL traveling eastbound. The victim died at the scene.
