The author of a YouTube video, which has rocked news headlines because it allegedly shows Toronto Mayor Rob Ford apparently meeting with an accused drug dealer, Alexander Lisi, clarified that he uploaded the video to show that the mayor was sober and respectful. However, he refuses being present during the time when Mayor Ford was ranting against Police Chief as shown on another video.

Tim Stewart uploaded the video entitled ‘FORD was there’ but did not reply to any emails afterwards. On early Wednesday morning, he mentioned in the comments of his YouTube video that the “Mayor I saw last night was sober at the time that I saw him and he was respectable.” Stewart explained that he was at the restaurant from 11:40 p.m. on Monday to 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday. He alleged that “the Mayor didn’t order drinks and he didn’t order food during this time,” adding that “I saw no booze on his table at any time and you can slow mo the replay and see for yourself. Neither person had a drink on the table. If he admits to drinking so be it but I didn’t see it.”

Stewart revealed having had received at least nine media requests for interviews, including monetary offers. He alleged that he has no interest in doing any since the “the Mayor was on his own time and I have no interest in being part of any media lynching.” He alleged that “I really feel that if my video was not posted the reaction of the public might have been more severe…”
