Oakville teacher Nicola Vescio charged for assaulting student

Officers from the 11 Division Neighbourhood Policing Unit have arrested a teacher in relation to an assault on a student.

Nicola Vescio, a 47 year-old Oakville resident, is alleged to have assaulted a15 year-old male student in October, 2013, at a Mississauga high school. 

On Wednesday, December 11, 2013, Vescio was arrested and charged with one count of Assault.  He will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, Brampton, on January 24, 2014.

Nicola Vescio has been a teacher with the Dufferin-Peel Catholic School Board since 1997, and investigators are concerned that there may be more victims.
