The Calgary Police Service is currently investigating a suspicious death that occurred early this morning.
At approximately 3:30 a.m. today, Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, a man in his 50s walked into the Delta Bow Valley hotel, located at 209 4 Ave. S.E. in search of medical assistance. The man was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition and was declared deceased shortly after arrival at the hospital.
The Homicide Unit has been called out to investigate and an area on 4 Avenue between 1 Street S.E. and Centre Street has been cordoned off as the investigation continues.
An autopsy will be scheduled for today.
