Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has revamped the official website for his mayoral rerun campaign and it primarily enlists at least 29 accomplishments including development of TTC service, launching a “comprehensive bicycle strategy,” and making council more “transparent and accountable.” The website, RobFordForMayor.ca, was reintroduced during the mayor’s interview on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show on Monday night.

The website using the same address coined during Ford’s 2010 mayoral campaign provides a clear cut image of how the mayor has planned to convince voters that he deserves a second term. Before the website was revamped, it only showed a blue banner simply displaying “Ford for Mayor” logo and a brief message: “Thank you for visiting the website. If you would like to contact Mayor Ford please call 416-233-6934.” However, the site has been updated to include numerous features including photos of the mayor with celebrities, such as Drake and talk show host Kimmel, socializing at the annual Ford Fest barbecues, and participating in various Toronto street festivals. Additionally, the site boasts links to the Ford brothers’ popular YouTube channel, Ford Nation.

The webpage devoted to highlight Mr. Ford’s biography and accomplishment mostly includes his football-related achievements, both in founding the Rob Ford Football Foundation — which provides start-up cash to high schools looking to launch football programs — and his coaching record. The website says that “since he was sworn in as Mayor on December 1, 2010, Mayor Rob Ford has led a very busy Council agenda,” whereas a bold headline adds “ensuring your tax dollars are spent wisely.”
