Ryan James Quigley was taken into custody by investigators Thursday morning and has since been charged with the murder of Amy Jane Parkes.
On April 1, 2014, shortly before 10 am, police found the body of Amy Jane Parkes (35) in her residence on the 3700 block of Lakeshore Road after she failed to show up to work that morning. The circumstances surrounding her death were deemed to be suspicious and the Kelowna RCMP Serious Crime Unit commenced a homicide investigation. Ryan James Quigley was quickly identified to be a person of interest in the case and police requested public assistance in locating him and an associated vehicle.
On April 3, 2014 at about 10 am, plainclothes officers located the suspect vehicle on the 500 block of Coronation Avenue and Quigley was found to be inside. He was taken into custody without incident and later faced questioning by police.
Quigley has been charged with Murder in connection with the death of Amy Parkes. He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Court on April 4, 2014.
