Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 5800 South Sam Houston Parkway East service road (Beltway 8) about 7:35 p.m. last Friday (May 2).
The male victim, 36, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Kung and Officer C. Cisneros reported:
The victim was operating a black Harley-Davidson motorcycle eastbound at the above location when he failed to maintain a single lane and struck a disabled red Dodge Ram pickup truck parked on the inside shoulder.
No one else was injured in the accident.
