A joint investigation between members of the Saskatchewan Integrated Child Exploitation Unit‎ and the New Brunswick Internet Child Exploitation Unit has led to the arrest of a Saskatchewan man.

On May 15, 2014, a 53-year-old man from Carlyle, Saskatchewan was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography, communicating with a person under 18 to facilitate the commission of an offence, and sending sexual material to a person under 18 to facilitate the commission of an offence. The alleged victim was a girl from New Brunswick.

The accused will make his first court appearance on July 16, 2014 in Carlyle, SK. His name is not being released at this time to protect the identity of the child.

The investigation began following a complaint made to the New Brunswick RCMP just over a week ago.
