The Comox Valley RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing man.

65 year old Jamie Sproule was reported missing from his residence on Comox Lake Rd, in Cumberland, B.C. when he failed to return home from a walk.

Sproule departed his residence at approximately 1 pm on May 22nd.

Comox Valley Search and Rescue were called out and assisted with approximately 40 searchers, including some from Campbell River as well as an RCMP Police Dog, and two Search and Rescue Dogs from Comox and Campbell River. They searched into the night and will continue again in the morning.

Sproule suffers from dementia and parkinson’s, and may have difficulty speaking. 

Sproule is described as:

–  6’3″

– 200 lbs

– last seen wearing a grey stanfield wooly work vest

– khaki canvas pants

– black runners

Cumberland locals are asked to check their properties, including sheds, boats and under tarps.
