The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of the release of a Sex Offender.

On Friday, May 16, 2014, William Shorten, 47, was released from custody to reside in Toronto.

He has prior criminal convictions for Indecent Acts and Sexual Assaults, and has the potential to re-offend.

He is currently bound by a community supervision order and required to comply with a number of conditions, including:

– not to attend any public park or public swimming area where persons under the age of 18 years are present

– not to attend at any daycare centre, school ground, playground or community centre
