On Thursday, May 29, 2014, at approximately 1:45 a.m., the Toronto Police Service were called to a report of a sexual assault in the McCowan Road and McNicoll Avenue area.
It is alleged that:
– a woman, 54, exited a TTC bus
– a man, who was also on the bus, followed the woman
– the woman was robbed, threatened and sexually assaulted
– police were called and the man was arrested
Siming Tan, 21, of Toronto, has been charged with:
1) Aggravated Sexual Assault
2) Robbery
3) Utter Threats
4) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
5) Choking – Overcome Resistance
On Thursday, May 29, 2014, at 2 p.m., he appeared in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East.
Police believe there may be more victims.
