Moncton man Justin Bourque charged with first degree murder

A Moncton man has been charged in connection with the shooting of five RCMP officers. Shortly before 5 p.m. on June 6, 2014, 24-year-old Justin Bourque appeared in Moncton Provincial Court and was charged with three counts of first degree murder and two counts of attempted murder.

Bourque has been remanded into custody. He is scheduled to appear back in court on July 3.

The investigation is continuing.
