18 year-old man stabbed in Whitby

An 18-year-old male victim is recovering from serious but non-life-threatening injuries following a stabbing incident in Whitby on Saturday morning.

On Saturday October 9, 2010 at approximately 1 a.m., officers from Central West Division responded to an 18-year-old male victim stabbed in the stairwell of an apartment building on White Oaks Court in Whitby. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries and later transferred to a Toronto area trauma centre for surgery. The two suspects fled the scene and were not apprehended by responding officers.

The investigation is ongoing. Descriptions of the two male suspects are limited. Investigators are appealing to witnesses to provide more detail to this incident.
