A Scott Siding woman has been identified as the victim of a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Route 122 in Dow Settlement, near Woodstock, N.B., at approximately 12:25 p.m. on June 20, 2014.
24-year-old Kristen Demerchant, who was the driver of one of the cars involved in the head-on crash, died as a result of her injuries. Her 8-month-old son, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was transported to hospital. The driver of the other vehicle, a 47-year-old woman, was also taken to hospital. Both have non-life threatening injuries.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist is assisting the Woodstock RCMP detachment to determine the cause of the crash.
The investigation is continuing.
