Elderly rider dies in a motor cycle collision at Rachel road in Courtenay

On June 21st the Comox Valley RCMP responded to a report of a motorcycle collision on Rachel road in Courtenay. Upon arrival on scene by police emergency services personnel were already on scene performing CPR on the injured motorcycle rider. Preliminary investigation revealed the motorcycle had gone off road right and had landed on the rider.

The 63 year old man was transported to hospital and once there was pronounced dead as he had succumbed to his injuries. This investigation has been turned over to the North Island highway patrol analyst for further investigation.
