Toronto man Raymond McCurdy charged with manslaughter

On Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at approximately 2:30 a.m., police responded to an Unknown Trouble call in the Clydesdale Drive and Victoria Park Avenue area.

Officers arrived to find a man suffering apparent traumatic injuries. He was taken to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries. He has been identified as Duane Small, 44, of Toronto.

A post-mortem examination has been conducted. The cause of death was blunt-impact head trauma.

Raymond McCurdy, 39, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with:

1) Manslaughter

He is scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West, Wednesday, July 16, 2014, 10 a.m..
