Hamilton Police take illegal gun and drugs off street

Four Stoney Creek people are facing a number of drug and firearms related charges after Hamilton Police searched a Stoney Creek home where illegal drugs and a firearm were seized.

Earlier today, at approximately 2:30 a.m., members of the Hamilton Police Service Gangs and Weapons Enforcement Unit (GWEU) and Vice and Drugs Unit, with the assistance of the Halton Police Service Tactical Unit executed a search warrant at a home on King St. E. in Stoney Creek.

Hamilton Police located a loaded machine gun pistol, ammunition, marihuana, cocaine and other drug paraphernalia. This is the second Mac-11 machine gun pistol that has been seized by members of the GWEU. Four people in the home were arrested and now face numerous drug and firearms related charges. All were scheduled for a bail hearing today.

Possession of Prohibited Device
Possession of a Weapon Obtained by Crime
Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Firearm
Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition

Seized: Loaded COBRAY Mac-11 machine gun pistol

200 gm of processed marihuana with street value of $2,000.00
Small quantity of cocaine
