Reports have confirmed that the authorities have charged a 33-year-old male suspect, named Renie Gall, with six counts of sexual assault after students at a Christian college northeast of Calgary were sexually assaulted in their dorm rooms. Administrators of the Prairie Bible Institute in Three Hills revealed that a man entered the student residence through a window on early Sunday morning and started touching legs and asking for sexual favours.

According to the police, the suspect arrested has a similar appearance with the suspect caught on the college’s video surveillance. It was added that the suspect surrendered himself voluntarily on Monday. According to a press release issued by the police on Tuesday, Mr. Gall is now charged with six counts of sexual assault, one count of break and enter and one count of theft under $5,000. In addition to that, he has also been charged with another count of break and enter on an unrelated matter.

On the other hand, president of the college, Mark Maxwell, has publicly welcomed Gall’s arrest and appreciated the “quick response” of the RCMP to find the perpetrator responsible for the alleged break-in and sexual assaults, which led to “an unsettling start to the new school year.” He mentioned in a statement that “it’s been a challenging couple of days but we have been amazed by the response of our students.” Additionally, Maxwell alleged that “they have rallied around one another and supported each other even though in most cases, they have just met.” Gall is now to appear in a Drumheller court on Friday.
