On Monday August 18th at approximately 9:55 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to a call for a disturbance in the area of Lincoln Ave and Gordon St in the City of Hamilton.
Upon arrival police found a 14-year-old male suffering from a stab wound.
The young male was taken to hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced dead.
Several residents and witnesses were taken to Central Station and statements obtained. Forensic Officers and the Action Team remain at the scene searching for evidence and further witnesses.
Police believe that the parties involved were known to each other.
Investigation to date has resulted in one male being arrested. Charged with Second Degree Murder is 18-year-old Brodie Nicholls of Hamilton. Mr. Nicholls will be in Court this afternoon.
