Oakville resident Jaspal Rai charged following recovery of druga and cash from residence

Investigators with the Street Crime Gang Unit completed an investigation yesterday that resulted in the seizure of drugs from an Oakville residence.

On Thursday, September 11, 2014 in the evening, members of the Street Crime Gang Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Oakville after an investigation of drug trafficking within in the Credit Woodlands area of Mississauga.  

The accused Jaspal Rai, a 30 year-old resident of Oakville was charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x 4, and Possession of Proceeds of Crime. He was held for a bail hearing and will be appearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton today.

A search warrant was later executed at his residence and the following items were seized: 

– 16.6 ounces cocaine;

– 9.3 ounces MDMA;

– 1.9 ounces marihuana;

– 12 grams of hash oil;

– $23,600.00 (Canadian Currency);

– Scales; and,

– Packaging.

Total value of the drugs seized is estimated to be worth $54,070.00
