At around 5:30 a.m. this morning, emergency crews responded to a single motor vehicle collision behind Thames Lea Plaza in Chatham.
A 51-year-old Chatham man driving a Ford Focus collided with the rear of the Staples building. He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance where he succumbed to his injuries.
The man’s identity will not be released as per the family’s request.
Members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service offer their deepest condolences to the man’s family and friends.
The Traffic Management Unit continues to investigate.
