Two Mississauga men Hamza Othman & Ilir Memedovski charged with second degree murder

Zackary JelovsekInvestigators from the Peel Regional Police Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau have made three arrests in relation to a weekend stabbing.

On Saturday, October 18, 2014, at approximately 1:28 a.m., Peel Regional Police, EMS and Mississauga Fire attended an address on Rainbow Crescent for a stabbing. Upon arrival, two males were located with stab wounds.  One victim, a 20 year old male, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  A second male, 19 years of age, was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased has been identified as Zackary Jelovsek, a 19 year-old resident of Mississauga.

Investigation resulted in the arrest of three male adults:

Charged with Second Degree Murder are;

– 19 year old Hamza Othman of Mississauga and;

– 20 year old Ilir Memedovski of Mississauga

Charged with Accessory After the Fact is;

– 20 year old Neil Patel also of Mississauga.

All three were arrested without incident and all are held for Bail Hearings at the Ontario Court of Justice, Brampton.
