A 28-year-old Clarington man was fatally injured when his car was T-boned at a Clarington intersection yesterday afternoon.
On Sunday, November 2, 2014, at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers from East Division were called to the intersection at Enfield Road and Concession Road 6 in the Township of Clarington for a three-vehicle collision. Witnesses reported seeing a white Nissan pickup truck eastbound on Concession Road 6 fail to stop at the stop sign and strike a northbound Ford Mustang. The collision sent both vehicles into a silver Jeep that was stopped facing west on Concession Road 6. All three vehicles ended up in the ditch at the northeast corner.
The 28-year-old driver of the Ford Mustang was pronounced at the scene while the driver and passenger from the Nissan pickup truck were taken to a local hospital and later released with minor injuries. The female driver of the Jeep suffered minor injuries and was held overnight at a local hospital for observation.
Members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The scene was closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
