On Thursday, November 6, 2014, the Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section charged an Ottawa man in relation to a report of a Sexual Assault involving a female, working as an escort.
On August 27, a female complainant contacted Ottawa Police to report that she had been sexually assaulted by a male who had used her escort service, stole an amount of money and returned at her request to repay the money. Upon his return, she was sexually assaulted by the male who used the name ‘Marcus’ when communicating with her.
An investigation was commenced and the male was identified.
Ubong Michael Akpan, 28 years old, of Ottawa, has been charged with Sexual Assault and Theft under. He will appear in court today for a Bail Hearing.
