On Friday, November 14th at approximately 9:48p.m., HamiltonEmergency Services responded for a serious motor vehicle collision which had occurred on the South Service Road just west of Dewitt Road in the City of Hamilton involving a Honda Civic motor vehicle. The 35- year-old male driver was pronounced at the scene. The 26-year-old femalepassenger was transported to hospital but succumbed to her injuries a short time later.
The South Service Road was closed between Dewitt Road and Green Road both directions for approximately 6 hours. No names are being released at this time as next of kin notifications are still being completed.
At this time, speed and alcohol are being considered to be contributing factors in this collision.
