Richibucto RCMP are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred on the McKnight Road in Napan, N.B. at around 9 a.m. on November 18, 2014. The victim, a 57-year-old woman from Miramichi, N.B., passed away at the scene as a result of her injuries.
The collision occurred when the victim’s vehicle crossed the centre line and collided with an oncoming pickup truck. The road conditions were poor at the time of the accident. The lone occupant of the pickup truck was transported by ambulance to hospital with undetermined injuries. Members from the Miramichi Police Force and the City of Miramichi Fire Department also responded to the crash.
The investigation into the exact cause of the crash is continuing.
The name of the victim is not being released at this time pending notification of her family.
