A second-year law student, Derek Murray, explained to have left the headlights of his silver Acura switched on all day on Wednesday and upon his return, he obviously found the battery drained but also a note on his windshield. According to Murray, the note said: “I noticed you left your lights on.”

The note added that “the battery will probably not have enough charge to start your vehicle. I left a blue extension cord on the fence and … a battery charger beside the fence in the cardboard box. If you know how to hook it up, use it to start your car.” Furthermore, the note also went on to partially explain how to jump-start the vehicle, followed by a “good luck.” Murray shared that he was expecting the note to be an angry letter cursing him for parked the car in the wrong spot.

Murray alleged that someone just totally brightening my day and “sure enough, I looked over at the house my car was parked beside, and there was a blue extension cord plugged into an outlet behind the guy’s house with a battery charger right there beside it.” He said that “when I first saw the note, I was expecting it to be an angry letter from someone telling me not to park there. Instead, I got someone just totally brightening my day. My day could have been ruined but, because of this guy, it was the highlight of my day.”
