The man suspected to have murdered his common-law wife Lisa Michelle Mitchell, 38-year-old Allan Shyback, is anticipated to appear in court on Tuesday. The woman was last seen alive in October 2012 and had been considered missing since. The woman’s body was found on Friday after a search of an Ogden duplex, whereas the autopsy is anticipated to determine the cause of death as its results arrive on Monday. Shyback will be facing multiple charges including second degree murder and indignity to a body.

In their remarks, Shyback’s neighbours alleged to be completely shocked after hearing about the arrest, pointing out that they didn’t see anything suggesting that Shyback had anything to do with Mitchell’s disappearance. Chris Robinson has been Shyback’s neighbor since almost a year and half now and has alleged to have only talked with Shyback about the case just once. He said that “I watched the news on October 29 when they released Lisa Michelle’s picture and they showed the house and I was kind of spooked by it,” adding that “a few days later I asked him about it, and had a light conversation about it, and he just made it sound like she just disappeared.”

According to Robinson, his kids often played with Shyback’s five-year-old and seven-year-old kids. However, Robinson added that he hasn’t seen them in about a month. Shyback was the father of one of Mitchell’s two young children. Police said there was a history of domestic violence, but that the accused had never been charged.
