Today marks the 2nd anniversary of the murders of Earle Stewart and Matthew Hebb.

On December 12th, 2012, the remains of 59-year-old Earle Stewart of Herring CoveRoad and 22-year-old Matthew Hebb of Herring Cove Road were found after emergency personnel responded to a structure fire off Highway 374 near Sheet Harbour. Officers from the Major Crimes unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division continue to work to solve these crimes and remain committed to these investigations.

Police are hoping that persons with information will come forward to speak with investigators with the goal of ultimately leading to an arrest in this case. ‘The community plays a critical role in solving crimes and we need their help with this case,’ says Constable Jody Allison of the Major Crimes Unit. ‘Any piece of information could prove useful to investigators.’
