Play-fighting between two people led to much more and landed them both in hospital after they ended up stabbing each other at a house party late last night in the 3000 block Kingsway.

Shortly before 11:30 p.m. the 16 year old male resident of an apartment and a 22 year old male guest began to wrestle during a house party taking place in the 3000 block Kingsway. The bout escalated beyond mere play-fighting and during the melee the two, who know each other, ended up allegedly stabbing each other with unknown weapons. Guests of the party separated them and police were called.

The 16 year old suffered a non-life threatening stab wound to the head and the 22 year old suffered a minor stab wound to the stomach. They were transported to hospital where they are expected to make a full recovery.

The investigation is continuing into the events leading up to police being called and both could be facing possible assault and weapons-related charges.
