Investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested two people in relation to an Attempt Murder/Kidnapping investigation that occurred in Mississauga.
On Saturday, January 3, 2015, at approximately 1:30 a.m., the victim, a 22 year-old resident of Mississauga, attended a residence on Fowler Drive, Mississauga, to meet with the female accused. A short time later, the male accused attended the residence and confronted the victim with a loaded firearm. The victim was assaulted by both accuseds, restrained and taken to the area of Erin Mills Parkway and South Millway, Mississauga, where he was again assaulted and left, unconscious.
Andrew Oliver Campbell, a 37 year-old resident of Mississauga, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Carry Concealed Weapon, Unauthorized Possession of Firearm, Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm, Possession of a Loaded Prohibited/Restricted Firearm, Careless Storage of a Firearm, Use Firearm While Committing Offence, Point Firearm, Aggravated Assault, Kidnapping and Attempt Murder.
Heather Lafleur, a 21 year-old resident of Mississauga, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, Kidnapping and Attempt Murder.
Both accuseds appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice, Brampton, on Sunday, January 4, 2015 for a Bail Hearing.
The victim received medical attention at a local hospital and was subsequently released.
