Latest Edmonton Lottery winner, Mary Ann Estanislao, just bought a single 5$ ticket in downtown Edmonton to win the $15 million jackpot. Western Canada Lottery Corporation made the announcement of Edmonton’s newest multimillionaire on Wednesday. In her comments, Estanislao stated that if it’s meant to be, it only takes just one ticket to win the lottery jackpot.

In her remarks, Estanislao stated that “I only ever buy one ticket,” because “I believe that if you’re meant to win, you only need one.” The single ticket bought from Winston’s City Centre in Commerce Place was the only one sold across Canada to match all seven of the winning Lotto Max numbers Oct. 24. The woman recalled that when I won $15 million, “I checked the numbers on the WCLC website,” adding that “I thought I made a mistake at first, but I checked again and realized I won.”

In addition to that, Estanislao explained that she did not have trouble convincing her family members that she had really won. She said that “I often talk about all the things I’d do if I ever won the lotto. So when I asked my daughter to sit down because I had something to tell her, she asked right away, ‘Did you win the lottery?'” According to Estanislao, she plans to pay off her mortgage and bills, along with some travelling. She also shared her intentions to donate some of the jackpot’s money to a charity.
