Winnipeg man Frederick Allan Roulette charged in connection to a serious assault investigation

On March 1, 2014 at approximately 6:45 p.m., officers responded to a bar located in the 700 block of Maryland Street regarding a fight involving two male suspects.

Attending members located a 60 year-old male victim with serious upper body injuries.

The investigation revealed that a verbal altercation erupted between two males and the victim. The dispute escalated at which time the victim was physically assaulted.

The suspects fled and the victim was transported to hospital.

The investigation continued by members of the Division 11 Crime Unit.

Investigators requested the public’s assistance and surveillance photos of the suspects were made public. Due to this assistance, one of the suspects was identified and arrested.

On June 7, 2014, Farrell ROSS, 25 years of Winnipeg was located and arrested. He was charged with Aggravated Assault, Breach of Recognizance and Fail to Comply with Probation Order due to his alleged involvement and detained in custody.

The investigation continued and investigators were able to identify a second suspect.  Attempts to locate him were unsuccessful and due to his alleged involvement, a warrant of arrest for Aggravated Assault and Fail to Comply with Probation Order was issued for Frederick Allan Roulette, 31 years of Winnipeg.

On January 21, 2015 officers located Roulette in the 200 block of Mountain Avenue at which time he was arrested on the strength of the warrant.

He has been detained in custody.
