Hamilton police charge Jason Mount with attempted murder

On Sunday, February 8, 2015 at approximately 4:14 am police responded to an address on Prospect Street North in the City of Hamilton after it was reported that a male was located covered in blood and believed to be seriously injured.  A 57-year-old male victim was located and an investigation commenced.

The male victim was transported to hospital with life threatening injuries.

Investigation identified multiple crime scenes in the area. These scenes were held by Police for further investigation by members of the Hamilton Police Service Forensic Services Branch.

Investigation led Detectives to an address where a male suspect was located and arrested.

As a result of the investigation Detectives have charged the accused with Attempted Murder.

The investigation is still ongoing at the time of this release.

ACCUSED:           Jason MOUNT – 31-year-old Male from Burlington Ontario

CHARGES:           Attempted Murder & Fail to Comply Probation (x2)
