Surrey RCMP wish to advise the public about charges laid against 27 year old North Vancouver resident Victor OVERFIELD and to potentially identify victims who are currently unknown by investigators.

OVERFIELD was arrested on December 19th, 2014, and charged with one count of Luring a Child under section 172.1 (1)(c) and one count of Invitation to Sexual Touching under section 152 of the Criminal Code of Canada.

The RCMP seeks the public’s assistance for information about OVERFIELD that may further the ongoing police investigation. OVERFIELD volunteered with the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets in North Vancouver from 2007-2012, and with the Navy League Cadets in Vancouver from 2012 until his arrest in 2014.

We encourage any persons who may have been a victim, or have any information pertaining to OVERFIELD that would be helpful to the police investigation, to contact us," says Surrey RCMP Cpl Bert Paquet.

OVERFIELD has been released from custody on conditions including no contact with his victim and any other young persons. Several other conditions set to ensure the safety of the public are also part of his release.
