Police are looking to speak with anyone with information regarding other possible victims after a 61-year-old Kelowna man was charged with two counts of sexual assault.
On Saturday March, 7, 2015 at 6:12 pm, the Kelowna RCMP received a report of a sexual assault at a store on the 400 block of Bernard Avenue. An unknown male entered the store and started a conversation with a female staff member. The man then rubbed against the young woman and grabbed her from behind. The staff member yelled at the man who left the store, before returning briefly. Through the course of the investigation, police were able to identify a suspect and located the 61-year-old Kelowna man at his residence.
Police have identified at least two other investigations with similar circumstances and are concerned that there may be further victims. The RCMP are now looking for the public's assistance to further these investigations.
The suspect is described as:
- Caucasian male
- 61 yrs
- 5 ft 7 in (170 cm)
- 141 lbs (64 kg)
- Slim build
- Grey hair and balding
- Blue eyes
Brian SPENCER has since been charged with two counts of Sexual Assault. He remains in custody and is expected to appear in Court on March 9, 2015.
