On December 7 at approximately 12:30 p.m. RCMP in District 9, Belledune responded to a domestic call when the mother of a three year old child entered a residence with two adult males and took the child from the biological father.
It is alleged that the biological father was assaulted during the event causing minor injuries. The three adults departed the residence with the child and were arrested without incident approximately fifty kilometres away outside of Bathurst, N.B.
The three individuals were released a few hours later to appear in Court at a later date.
The investigation is ongoing.
