Two people are recovering from stab wounds today after a house party got out of control in the 800 block of E. 7th Avenue overnight. A 22 year old woman is in custody facing charges in connection with the incident.

Police were called to the home around 10:00 p.m. Monday night, after it was reported that two men had been injured during an altercation inside. Officers found a 31 year old man inside the home with a stab wound to his head, but the second victim was nowhere to be found.

As the 31 year old victim was being transported by B.C. Ambulance, police received word that a 22 year old man with a stab wound to his shoulder had turned up at hospital on his own. It was later confirmed that he was in fact the missing victim from the house party. Both men were treated for minor injuries and released.

The investigation is continuing and charges have not been confirmed at this point.
