In the interest of public safety, the Calgary Police Service is issuing the following information and warning in regards to the release of a high-risk offender.
Danny Edward DEPEW, 43, is in the Calgary area having served a five-and-a-half-year federal prison sentence for sexual assault and sexual exploitation. He will now be monitored by the CPS High Risk Offender Program on a Section 810.2 Criminal Code Recognizance Order for a period of two years.
DEPEW, who was released into the Calgary area today, Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010, has a lengthy history of criminal convictions for sexual assault, assault and parole violations, dating back to 1992.
DEPEW is described as 6’3” tall, 160 pounds, with grey hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion. A photo of DEPEW is available on the City of Calgary Newsroom.
