Prince George man arrested for sharing child pornographic pictures of his 7 year old daughter

On December 18, 2010 a 41 year old male was arrested in Prince George on Child Pornography related offences.

With the assistance of the Prince George RCMP Detachment and the Integrated Technology Crime unit, members of the ICE unit executed a search warrant at the residence of this male. Police located and seized evidence that included Child Pornography pictures and videos, some pictures were created by the suspect showing his own 7 year old daughter.

The investigation started earlier the same week when the ICE unit received information from the United States Department of Homeland Security showing that an individual in Prince George was sharing child pornography pictures with other predators. Examination of the pictures sent by this Prince George suspect lead investigators to believe that they were home made and that a child was at risk.

To protect the identity of the victim, no names have yet been released. The male arrested is expected to face charges of Possession, Distribution and Making of Child Pornography. He was released from Police custody on December 19, 2010 under strict conditions and is expected to make a first court appearance on January 12, 2011.

“The child is now safe with her mother and no longer at risk. This case is another excellent example of what can be accomplished through cooperative work between the U.S. and Canada” says Cpl Mat. VAN LAER from the ICE unit.

Reporter Note: Comments about this low-life of a father are welcomed and encouraged. We as Canadians need tougher criminal code laws to make sure that these kind of people never see the day of light again.

Sorry, I being a father of two kids just can’t keep my mouth shut for this kind of crime.
