Windsor police charge Colin Chrisjohn for the murder of Amir Hayat Malik

On Thursday June 4, 2015 at approximately 9:30AM Windsor Police received a call regarding a deceased male located in an alley in the 500 block of Aylmer Avenue.  Police attended the scene and spoke with 2 men who discovered the body upon arriving at the rear of a residence they were working at.  The body was in an alley behind 563 Brant Street.  Police at the scene observed obvious signs of trauma to the victim and he was pronounced deceased.  The deceased male was later identified as Amir Hayat Malik.  Major Crime Branch detectives along with other units began to investigate the death which was deemed to be a homicide.  Postmortem examination results indicate that Amir Hayat Malik died as a result of blood loss caused by severe trauma to the body.  Through an extensive investigation detectives were able to identify a person allegedly responsible for the death.  The suspect was located and placed under arrest.  Police are continuing with the investigation and are gathering additional information as a result of the arrest.  Police will be holding a press conference tomorrow morning with additional details pertaining to the investigation.
 
Colin CHRISJOHN, a 24 year old male from Windsor is Charged with 2nd degree Murder.
