Two year old boy missing in harsh weather, Nova Scotia

Windsor District RCMP are searching for a two year-old boy who went missing this afternoon from South Rawdon.

At 1:25 p.m. today, RCMP received a 911 call indicating that the boy had gone missing from outside of a family residence on Ashdale Road in South Rawdon.

The boy is 2 years, 7 months old, and was last seen playing outside a family residence with two other children. When the other children noticed the boy was missing they alerted adults inside the home.

He is approximately 2 feet 6 inches tall with short dark brown hair, blueish green eyes and has an undiagnosed hearing/speech impairment. He was wearing a blue jacket with the hood pulled up, blue snow pants with a yellow stripe, blue toque and pink mittens.

RCMP officers, including police dog services, are searching for the boy with assistance from East Hants, Colchester and Halifax Ground Search and Rescue teams and Brooklyn Fire Department.

UPDATE: The little boy Brenden Michael Wood has been located.
