On Saturday, January 15, 2011, at 12:17 a.m., police responded to a call at the Eglinton GO Station, 2995 Eglinton Avenue East.

It is reported that:

– a man was seated on the westbound GO tracks,

– the conductor of the train applied the emergency braking and sounded the horn

– the train struck the man.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man is described as white, 35-40, with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black ski jacket and jeans.
