The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has arrested 22 year old Amanda OWENS in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred in the area of Hoyles Avenue on February 6, 2011.
At approximately 1:40 am on Sunday, February 6, 2011, RNC Street Patrol Officers responded to a report of a stabbing on Hoyles Avenue in St. John’s, NL. An adult male suffered multiple stab wounds and was robbed as a result of the incident. The victim was conveyed to hospital and treated for what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
The RNC Major Crime Unit has charged OWENS with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and robbery with violence. The accused appeared in Provincial Court on February 8, 2011 and was re-scheduled for a bail hearing today. The investigation into this matter is continuing.
