59-year-old Irineo Odoy of Edmonton has been charged with second degree murder in connection with our cities ninth homicide of 2011.
Autopsy results and a positive identification of the victim of this homicide will be confirmed at a later date by the medical examiner in conjunction with homicide investigators.

Police were called to a residence located at 40 Avenue and Millbourne Road West late Wednesday afternoon. On arrival members discovered the body of a middle aged female.
